RELEASE
While the
Moroccan repressive services are increasing their old/new repressive
policy and after the abduction of five other Sahrawi human rights
activists from their own homes on Thursday, July 20, 2005. Their
names are:
- Mohamed
Elmoutaouakil, a former political prisoner and member of the
Executive Bureau of the Forum for Truth and justice.
- Mohamed
Fadel Gaoudi, a former political prisoner and member of the
National Council of the Forum for Truth and justice.
- Brahim
Noumria, a former disappeared, an active member in several human
rights committees and an establishing member of the dissolved
Sahara Branch of the Forum for Truth and Justice.
- Lidri
Elhoucine, an establishing member of the dissolved Sahara Branch
of the Forum for Truth and Justice and an ex-deportee to
Morocco.
- Larbi
Massaoud, a former political of conscience who was adopted by
Amnesty International,
The Sahrawi
human rights activists, while noticing the Moroccan authorities
repression to the peaceful protest demonstrations that the Sahrawi
civilians organize in the Sahrawi regions calling for the Sahrawi
people's right to self-determination and the release of all the
Sahrawi political prisoners, they denonuce these flagrant violations
that break all the international human rights treaties.
As the
Moroccan authorities are responsible for what resulted from its
violent intervention against the innocent Sahrawi civilians such as
women's ill-treatment, the looting of houses, property stealing and
the humiliation of the elderly, the Sahrawi human rights activists
call :
- the
Moroccan state to stop their bleeding acts in the Sahrawi cities,
Dakhla, El Ayun, Assa and the others.
- for the
immediate qnd unditioned release of all the Sahrawi political
prisoners.
- the
international human rights organisations and all the peace-lovers
to exert pressure on the Moroccan state in order to stop the
flagrant violations of human rights that the defenceless Sahrawi
people are subjected to and the intervention in order to release
all the Sahrawi political prisoners.
- -for the
coming of an international committee to investigate in the illegal
and inhuman practices that the Moroccan authorities perpetrate in
the Western Sahara.
