L' Intergroupe du Parlement européen "paix pour le peuple Sahraoui" et sa présidente Margot Kessler, accueille favorablement la libération de 33 prisonniers par les autorités marocaines.

L'intergroupe accueille favorablement la libération du prisonnier politique Saharaoui Ali Salem TAMEK et de ses 11 collègues Saharaouis, dont la libération a été exigée par le bureau international pour le respect des droits de l'homme au Sahara occidental (BIRDHSO), et beaucoup d'autres organismes comme Amnesty International.

L'intergroupe du Parlement européen pour le Sahara Occidental invite les autorités marocaines à élargir leur soutien des droits fondamentaux au respect du droit inaliénable à l'autodétermination du peuple Saharaoui par la collaboration avec les Nations Unies vers la mise en oeuvre rapide du plan de paix de l'ONU de 2003, et la réalisation d'un référendum d'autodétermination libre et impartial pour les peuple Sahraoui.

L'intergroupe du Parlement européen pour le Sahara Occidental invite encore les autorités marocaines à clarifier le destin des centaines de Sahraouis qui ont " disparu", comme mentionné dans le rapport le plus récent d'Amnesty International publié en novembre 2003.

Les membres de l'intergroupe du Parlement européen continueront à soutenir les libertés légitimes, justes et universelles exigées par le peuple Sahraoui.

Nous demandons finalement aux autorités marocaines de permettre la libre circulation réelle pour Mohamed DADDACH et les défenseurs des droits de l'homme au Sahara Occidental.

INTERGROUP PEACE FOR THE SAHARAWI PEOPLE

The European Parliament intergroup "Peace for the Saharawi people" and its president Margot Kessler, welcome the liberation of 33 prisoners by the Moroccan authorities.

It welcomes the liberation, of the Saharawi political prisoner Ali Salem TAMEK and his 11 Saharawi colleagues, whose release was relentlessly demanded by the International Office for the Respect of Human Rights in Western Sahara (BIRDHSO), and many other bodies as Amnesty International.

The European Parliament intergroup on the Western Sahara calls upon the Moroccan authorities to extend their support of fundamental rights to the respect of the inalienable right to self-determination of the Saharawi people by collaborating with the UN towards the rapid implementation of the 2003 UN Peace Plan, and the holding of a free and impartial referendum of self-determination for the Saharawi people.

The European Parliament intergroup on the Western Sahara further calls on Moroccan authorities to clarify the fate of the hundreds of Saharawis who "disappeared", as mentioned in the latest Report of Amnesty International published in November 2003.

The members of the European Parliament intergroup will continue to support the legitimate and just universal freedoms demanded by the Saharawi people.

We finally request the Moroccan authorities to allow the effective freedom of movement for Mohamed DADDACH and the human rights defenders in the Western Sahara.
