Révolte des Sahraouis - Revolt of the Saharawis - Revuelta de los Saharauis

After the intifada of independence , the Moroccan state is still going on imposing the military and media blockade on the Western Sahara. The Moroccan authorities are committing serious violations of human rights, the latter of which was the kidnapping, torture and arrest of some human rights activists and dozens of Sahrawi citizens, the looting of the office of the Sahrawi Association of the Victims of the Human Rights Flagrant Violations Committed by the Moroccan State and the confiscation of its archive. More than this, the repetitive prohibition of the parliamentary, media and human rights delegations from visiting El Ayun such as the latest one coming from Asturia, Spain today, Sunday June 19th, 2005.

Thus, we appeal to the NGOs, human rights associations and all the democrats in the world to:

 1.Work on lifting the military and media blockade on the Western Sahara.

2.Send a medical delegation to cure the victims of the torture practiced on the Sahrawi citizens.

3.Open an international investigation on the flagrant violations of human rights committed by the Moroccan state.

4.Call the international community to exert pressure on the Moroccan state to respect human rights in the Western Sahara and the international legitimacy.

5. Exert pressure on the Moroccan state to release the Sahrawi political detainees.
